The United Nations Millennium Development Goals

No Excuse: 2015What can you do in your The Goals: 1. Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, 2. Achieve universal primary education, 3. Promote gender equality and empower women, 4. Reduce child mortality, 5. Improve maternal health, 6. Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases, 7. Ensure environmental sustainability, 8. Develop a global partnership for developmentlocal and global community to achieve the United Nations Millennium Development Goals? Which goal are you focusing on?


In 2000 at the United Nations Millennium Summit, 189 nations pledged to end the conditions of poverty that people all over the world face by the year 2015.

We are the first generation that can eradicate poverty. What role can you play? What do you think is needed in order for these goals to be achieved? What impact do you think achieving these goals will have on your local and global community?

Every day we don't act, real people suffer and if the Goals are not met, all of us will be poorer and less secure, so we need to act now!
