Homelessness: Organizations and People Taking Action!
The issues of poverty and homelessness are growing problems in the country of Canada. Even though it seems like we have a rapidly growing economy, many people struggle in spite of others' success.
Taking significant action implies that we truly care about the issue and are willing to put considerable energy into its success. Take a moment to consider what the issue of homelessness looks like in your community. Is it a growing problem? How do we know? What are others doing about it?
"Just Call me and Leave a Message..."
What do you do when you are expecting a phone call? It's pretty simple isn't it? We just give out our phone number. If we miss the call we simply pick up the message through voicemail. Imagine now that you are homeless or too poor to have a telephone. How do you connect with someone you cannot find?
Find out more about how this project seeks to create a voicemail system for clients at the Calgary Drop-in Centre to help with this issue.
