"Helping St. Gaspar in Dodoma, Tanzania, Africa"

"Hull staff and students have worked towards the MDG by participating in many fundraisers this year. One of the most personally significant ones was helping set up a school in Dodoma Tanzania by raising school supplies for HIV/ AIDS orphans and community members. We sent hundreds of dollars worth of supplies and some money to this primary school that is just getting off of its feet thanks to many local community and international volunteers. This school will house grade 1 students this year and then add on a grade level for each successful year after that in order to support the MDG of universal primary education. This new school’s curriculum will teach the students (victims of the HIV/AIDS pandemic) and the community about gender equality, HIV/AIDS prevention and health care. We are proud to be partners in reaching the UN Millennium Development Goals."
