"Woman Empowerment"

"(This photo) resemble(s) some of the woman's present situations in Uganda alone. I feel that if the UN were to achieve woman empowerment then women such as those in my photos will be able to make a stand for their human rights and be able to live somewhat equally to the men out there in the world.

Today I was sitting in the car while my parents were shopping in a little 'posh' Belgian bakery in our residential area and i noticed that straight ahead of me, across the tar road, was a 'shanty' town (a village with houses made out of iron sheets). The contrast between the two really made me feel so blessed to be priviledged. Hence, if the UN achieved the goal of developing our communities in a development plan, those people in the shanty town would perhaps be able to experience the same priviledges that I have."
